This Privacy Policy explains how ChatRoom.co.in (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects information when you visit https://chatroom.co.in and use the chat service embedded on it.
1. Information we collect
- Information you provide: the nickname you choose, and, if you register, account details such as an email address and profile information.
- Chat content: messages, images and voice notes you send are transmitted to other users and may be stored temporarily by the chat service to deliver and moderate them.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited and timestamps, collected through server logs and cookies for security, abuse prevention and analytics.
- Microphone and camera: we only access your microphone or camera after you grant permission in your browser, and only while you use voice or video features. We do not record your audio or video.
2. How we use information
To operate and improve the chat, keep users safe, enforce our Terms, respond to support requests, measure site usage and, where enabled, show advertising.
3. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember settings, and optional cookies for analytics and advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features may stop working if you do.

The chat room is provided through an embedded chat application hosted on our partner domain. Information you enter in the chat is processed by that service under the same principles described here.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us run the site (hosting, analytics, advertising), or when required by law, or to protect the safety of users.
7. Data retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Server logs are routinely deleted; registered accounts are kept until you ask us to delete them.
8. Your rights
Under applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and withdraw consent. Email contact@chatroom.co.in.
9. Age restriction
This service is only for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the service, contact us and we will remove the account.
